Question:
I'm basically a good person. Am I going to heaven?
|
Answer:
Amazingly the answer is no. The Bible (God's Word) teaches clearly
that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that
no one is righteous, no not one. The Bible also says that the wages
of sin is [eternal] death.

Question:
I attend church regularly. Am I going to heaven?
|
Answer:
Amazingly attending church doesn't remove one's sins.

Question:
Why doesn't God take most people to heaven?
|
Answer:
God (our loving creator and eternal Father) wishes that everyone
would would turn to Him and except His free gift of eternal life.
The problem is that God is 100% perfectly Holy, 100% perfectly
righteous and in Him there is no darkness of any sort. We are
not perfect in any way and have much darkness in us. We can lie,
cheat, steal, be selfish and unconcerned about others and can
do things in our lives that we're not proud of. The Bible says
that the path to eternal destruction is broad and many (most) go
on that path. It also says that the path to eternal life (heaven)
is narrow and few find this path. (Which path do you want to be
on?)

|
Question:
How do I find this narrow path?
|
Answer:
It's actually very simple, but will require complete changes in
your life and your attitudes. First, pray directly to God and
ask Him to help you. Understand that He is your heavenly Father
and He loves you deeply. Second, understand that God the Father
sent God the Son (Jesus) to pay for your sins by His death on the Cross.
It's a 100% free gift to you and anyone that will accept it.
Third, understand that you must repent (turn 180 degress) from
everything the Bible calls a sin. This is a process that takes
time as you learn from God's word the Bible what pleases God.
Forth, follow God, become His disciple (one who learns His ways).
Read God's word, pray for God to open your eyes as you read. Seek
Him with sincerity of heart and you will find the way.
